J ob Title: EKG/Stress Lab Technician Department: Medical Imaging Location: Massena Hospital Hours Per Week: Per Diem - As needed Schedule: Per Diem - Variable between 7 am - 4 pm M-F SUMMARY: The EKG Technician is responsible for performing electrocardiogram (EKG) procedures in both laboratory and bedside settings to support accurate cardiac diagnostics and patient care. This role ensures timely scheduling and completion of tests based on clinical urgency, prepares and maintains patient records, and monitors patients throughout procedures to ensure safety and quality results. The EKG Technician maintains equipment functionality, manages departmental documentation and supply inventory, and supports billing and reporting processes. Additional responsibilities include assisting with department operations, maintaining a safe and organized work environment, supporting quality improvement initiatives, and providing guidance to new team members as needed.
