Laboratory Technical Supervisor (Part time, 40 hours every other week)

Job description

Overview Utilize medical laboratory procedures to accurately perform tests/diagnostics procedures on clinical specimens in all departments of the laboratory. Assist the Laboratory Manager in supervising, coordinating and evaluating the system of the laboratory operations. Oversee a wide variety of administrative, fiscal and technical activities to ensure a proper operation of the clinical laboratory. Consult with the Laboratory Manager and Director regarding compliance with regulations, standards and proficiencies of laboratory test methods. Responsibilities: Maintains, manages and supervises the CLS and Lab assistants’ schedules and coverages. Supervises &/or performs & documents the Quality Control, calibration, calibration verification, comparison testing, & linearity studies for all testing requiring all or some of the preceding which are performed in the lab. Monitors and manages all Maintenance and Quality Control (Daily, Weekly, monthly ) performance of all instruments and equipment and ensure they in compliance with the applicable regulations and guidelines.
