Requisition No: 871113 Agency: Department of Health: Working Title: HUMAN SERVICES COUNSELOR I - 64029226 Pay Plan: Career Service: Position Number: 64029226: Salary: $40,320.80 Annually: Posting Closing Date: 03/27/2026: Total Compensation Estimator Tool: HUMAN SERVICES COUNSELOR I: Your Specific Responsibilities: - Establish a trusting relationship with culturally diverse families by initiating and maintaining regular client contact. - Provide Case Management to pregnant women and infants referred to the Healthy Start Program. - Provide face to face contact with clients either in the OB provider’s office or in the client’s residence. - Provide Parenting Education one on one with clients. - Provide Breastfeeding Education and Tobacco Cessation Education to individual clients. - Document all client contact information in the web-based computer application known as the Well Family System - Provide referrals to community resources to supplement Healthy Start services. Qualifications: Minimum- - Experience in Counseling techniques and strategies - Experience working with pregnant women and children. - Problem solving skills related to advancing client self-sufficiency. - Ability to wo...
