Overview The East Coast School of Combined Martial Arts engages and promotes the common good and general welfare of youngsters ages 8 to 18 by providing safe and effective classes in martial arts. By exposing these children to a broad range of experiences — including international travel — and by maintaining the highest standards, the East Coast School of Combined Martial Arts aims to help each child realize his or her academic and personal potential through a simple model: we make no excuses. Founded in September 1995, the East Coast School of Combined Martial Arts is a comprehensive youth enrichment program that combines martial arts instruction, academic tutoring, community service, college preparation, leadership development, and mentoring for students in the greater Boston area. Funded directly by the Boston Police Activities League (P.A.L.), we provide intensive, long-term support through a broad range of services for children and families, starting in elementary school and extending beyond college graduation.
