Job Title: Building and Grounds Technician Department: Facilities / Maintenance Reports To: Superintendent of Facility Maintenance FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Pay Rate: $22.71 Position Summary: The Building and Grounds Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance, repair, and upkeep of all MATA buildings, grounds, bus stops, and related infrastructure. This role ensures that all facilities are clean, safe, and presentable for employees and the public. Work includes basic carpentry, landscaping, janitorial duties, minor plumbing, and general repair tasks. Key Responsibilities: - Perform custodial and general maintenance duties including sweeping, mopping, trash removal, and restroom cleaning. - Mow lawns, trim hedges, remove weeds, and maintain landscaping across transit properties. - Conduct inspections of facilities and grounds to identify safety hazards, needed repairs, or areas requiring attention. - Perform minor repairs to buildings including painting, patching, door adjustments, and furniture assembly. - Clear snow and ice, or other hazards, from walkways and entry points. - Ensure bus stops, shelters, and terminals are clean, free of debris, and maintained proper...
