Brown & Brown is seeking Sr. Claims Examiner to join our growing team in Garden City, NY ! The Sr. Claims Examiner position will be responsible for the adjustment of all litigation losses. How You Will Contribute: - Investigate, evaluate, and bring to disposition all nonsuit and litigation claims - Assure the proper reserving of all losses - Participate in recognized safety and marketing programs - Assign and manage the activities of independent adjusters and other vendors - Work effectively with clients, brokers, attorneys, and internal departments - Identify subrogation and risk transfer potential - Inspect losses and loss sites as necessary - Reinsurance reporting - Prepare comprehensive claim correspondence, including coverage position communications - Attend training classes and/or secure professional designations Licenses & Certifications: Valid driver’s license Skills & Experience to be Successful: - Bachelor’s degree or life experience - Five years of experience in handling general liability claims - General Adjuster’s license in design...
