JOB DESCRIPTION: Job Summary: Under the direction of a Tooling Supervisor, the Tool and Die Maker is responsible for repairing dies and making adjustments as needed to run dies in accordance with the customers’ standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Tool and Die Maker must be able to troubleshoot conditions in a production setting Perform die set operations: Perform preventative maintenance on metal stamping dies Perform quality checks: Perform other duties as required: Tool and Die Maker must complete all required and applicable training required by Adient and its customers. Required: High School diploma or equivalent (GED) Minimum 1-2 years of experience working in a sheet metal stamping facility or similar experience Minimum 1-2 years of experience with large transfer and progressive dies Able to lift 40 lbs. frequently depending upon rework Standing 8 or more hours, walking to assist in seat build, rework, etc. ​ Be able to work 2nd shift ​ Preferred: Journeyman Tool and Die Card from the Department of Labor Rate of Pay : $35.43 per hour PRIMARY LOCATION: Battle Creek Seating Component
