The School of Professional Studies is seeking adjunct instructors to deliver in-person workforce training for MassBio’s Bioversity program. This 8-week, noncredit program prepares adult learners for entry-level roles in biotechnology lab operations. This role is designed for professionals with hands-on experience in laboratory operations, facilities, or support functions within biotech, pharma, or research environments. The instructor will translate real-world lab workflows into practical, job-ready training that prepares learners to succeed in roles such as lab technician, lab operations associate, or facilities support. Students are non-traditional adult learners preparing to enter the biotech workforce. Instruction should emphasize applied skills, workplace readiness, and operational understanding over theoretical science. - Teach on-site in Dorchester an estimated two days a week for 3-hour blocks between the hours of 9:30 am – 3:30 pm. - Deliver engaging, hands-on training sessions focused on day-to-day lab operations, including: - Lab safety and PPE in real-world environments - Equipment use and maintenance (freezers, CO₂ incubators, LN₂ systems, etc.) - Sample handling and s...
