Log Yard Technician Hawkeye Forest Products LP., a subsidiary of Baillie Lumber Co., has an immediate opening for an Log Yard Technician in Trempealeau Wisconsin. Located in the village of Trempealeau, Wisconsin, Hawkeye Forest Products specializes in the production of green and kiln dried Walnut lumber. We utilize a modern sawmill and drying facility, producing high quality lumber, timbers and other proprietary and custom products. General Job Description: The primary function of this position is to assist with the incoming and outgoing flow of hardwood logs at our log yard. Duties will include log sorting, scaling, and decking of log utilizing front-end loader and knuckle boom. Specific Requirements: (including but not limited to) - Receiving and scaling incoming logs for species, grades and sorts per company guidelines. - Operate handheld data collectors to input species, grades and sorts. - Chainsaw operation as needed. - Adherence to facility safety policies.
