Job Title: Behavioral Health Technician Schedule: PRN and Part Time Roles Available Location: Riley Hospital, Indianapolis, IN Position Overview: The Behavioral Health Technician provides basic care and ensures the safety and security of patients under the supervision of the licensed behavioral health team. This role involves making trained observations, reporting pertinent information, and participating in group therapy sessions. The technician assists with admissions, transfers, and discharges, and may perform basic triage duties as assigned. This position is integral to maintaining a therapeutic environment and supporting patient needs. Key Responsibilities: - Provide direct patient care and monitor patient safety and behavior. - Make trained observations and report findings to the mental health team or designated staff. - Participate in group therapy sessions and other therapeutic activities. - Assist with admitting, transferring, and discharging patients as assigned. - Perform basic triage duties when required. - Maintain a safe and supportive environment for patients and staff.
