Description Position: Prep Cook: Location: Hive Bakery & Cafe: Position Summary: The Prep Cook is responsible for preparing ingredients and performing basic cooking tasks according to Hive Bakery & Cafe’s recipes, procedures, and quality standards. This role supports the kitchen team by ensuring all prep work is completed efficiently and accurately to meet daily production needs. Responsibilities: Food Preparation: - Prepare ingredients according to recipes, procedures, and prep lists. - Wash, chop, measure, and organize ingredients to ensure smooth kitchen operations. - Label and date all prepped items and ensure freshness. - Maintain assigned par levels of prepped ingredients. - Support the Line Cooks and Bakers by ensuring all prep is ready for service and production. Operational Duties: - Maintain, stock, restock, clean, and organize prep station and storage areas. - Complete opening, side, and closing duties in a timely manner following established standard operating procedures. - Safely operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, slicers, ovens, and food processors. - Alert management of any equipment malfunctions or shortages.
