Job description

The Nursing Instructor position is a 9-month faculty position reporting to the Director of Nursing in the Northwest School of Nursing. The Nursing Instructor is responsible for both classroom and clinical instruction. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to classroom presentations, giving and grading examinations, advising students in academic choices, supervising clinical experiences, planning and participating in lab and simulation, and evaluating students using tools specific to nursing. QUALIFICATIONS: - Master of Science Degree in Nursing - Two years of Nursing experience - At least one year of clinical experience - Teaching experience desirable - Unencumbered license to practice in Mississippi - Acceptable criminal history background check DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES: Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, in addition to fulfilling the job description in the NWCC policy manual the nursing instructor will: - Plan instruction to achieve program and student learning outcomes. - Organize instruction to take into account individual differences among learners. - Obtain and uses information about the needs and progress of individual learners. - Obtain and...
