Job Summary Maintains shift accountability for the provision of environmental services in a cost effective and efficient manner. Maintains accountability for the proper allocation of environmental services employees to related area. Mentors and guides employees in their current role and professional growth, provides consistent and continuous input regarding employee performance. Communicates, collaborates and acts as a resource to customers, employees, management and other members of the health care team with regard to environmental care issues. Essential Functions: - Assumes shift accountability for utilizing environmental services to maintain facilities consistent with current policies, procedures, protocols and standards. Makes suggestions for change and provides input into policies, procedures, and goals as needed. - Manages overtime costs and length-of-shift (LOS) and monitors the daily consumption of FTE’s and supplies for the environmental services area. - Provides input into the development of the staff schedule and makes alteration and changes to meet changing needs.
