Atlantic Health is seeking a Security Officer for the Security Department– Days and Shift Hours may vary. ESSENTIAL FUNCTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: - The selected candidate must be able to work, first, second and third shifts, weekends and Holidays and over time as required. Shifts may be 8 or 12 hours in duration. - Must be available for call back as required. - Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. and stand for at least 4 hours at a time. - The candidate must be able to attend mandatory training sessions. - Proficiency with computers is required. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with the department's computer system are essential. - The selected candidate must be able to engage with patients, visitors, and staff. - This position includes safety tours of the facility and grounds, responding to emergencies, conducting investigations, and gathering information, completing electronic reports, de-escalating violent or threatening individuals. - The candidate will be exposed to Bio-Hazards such as Blood, Vomit, Saliva, and Urine. - The candidate will be required to pass an N95 Fit Test.
