Department: Communication Salary: $8.25 per hour, 15 hours per week (Must be able to work some nights and weekends) Position Summary: The Student Media Business Manager supports the operation of Jax State’s student media outlets – The Chanticleer and WLJS 91.9 FM – by developing financial support appropriate for each outlet. Specifically, the business manager helps the WLJS program director develop and manage relationships with businesses, nonprofit groups, individuals, and other entities to develop support for WLJS 91.9 FM, JSU’s student-run radio station, across all its platforms, which may include terrestrial broadcasting, digital streaming audio, podcasts, the web, social media and other forms of media. The business manager maintains contact with existing patrons and advertisers and initiates contact with potential new patrons and advertisers to develop financial and other forms of support for WLJS and The Chanticleer in their mission to serve JSU students and the broader university community.
