Overview: In the Acute Care Cardiology/Surgical Unit we treat patients of all ages. We specialize in treating surgical and medical patient with a wide variety of diagnosis. We are currently looking to expand our Heart Center patient population to provide medical cardiac management for children and adolescents with heart and vascular disease. - 6 bed unit housed on an already existing surgical unit - Nurse to patient ratio is 1:3 - We take care of all ages, however, on most days, approximately 75% of our population is under the age of six months. - We are looking for detail-oriented nurses who can handle a fast-paced environment and work collaboratively as a team Job Description Summary: Assists patients to move rapidly, uneventfully, and as effectively as possible through their episode of care while maintaining quality and safety as a priority. Delegates, directs, oversees and provides developmentally appropriate patient care. Practices professional nursing and promotes patient advocacy in accordance with the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses and maintains a current Ohio Nursing License.
