Job Description Summary: The NYC School Construction Authority is looking for a Director of MEP Standards to join the Design and Construction Innovation Management Department (DCIM) to guide the design of low carbon new and existing schools. NYC has a mandate to design all new schools as electric buildings, and to convert 100 existing schools to be all-electric fossil fuel free buildings by 2030. As technology is rapidly changing, research and managing an integrated team of senior HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical designers is needed to develop standards based on new technologies, stay abreast of legislation, keep up with and push the market, update the standards, support Construction Management and support the review of designs to ensure the designs are successfully implemented.
