Job Description The mission of the Bureau of Public Health Clinics (PHC) is to promote a healthy community by providing New Yorkers with the resources needed to make informed and empowered health decisions; identify and treat tuberculosis, and provide immunization and sexual health services regardless of ability to pay or immigration status . The Bureau of Public Health Clinics seeks to hire 5 Consultant Public Health Nurses to serve as Sexual Health Clinic Nurses. The Consultant Public Health Nurse positions are for the Abortion Access Initiative. The Consultant PH Nurse will be assigned of STI Clinics to advise/consult patients who are seeking services. They will report to the Admin PH Nurse/Nurse Supervisor. DUTIES WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO: Provide a welcoming and efficient introduction to the STD and or TB clinics Adhere to the Nursing Code of Ethics, exhibiting high standards of nursing practice, promoting a safe and ethical work environment, practicing with compassion and respect for the inherent dignity, worth and unique attributes of every person.
