Introductory Statement: The Salvation Army, an internationally recognized non-profit, faith-based organization, has a job opening for a Human Resources Administrator for the Hickory Corps, located in Hickory, NC. Job Summary: Administers the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources office; interviews, screens, and hires employees; prepares and maintains personnel records; handles all employee relations issues and conducts investigations as needed; communicates and enforces personnel policies and procedures; prepares and plans employee training. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of the principles and practices of Human Resources, Business Management, and Supervision. Knowledge of labor laws and ability to interpret/enforce the same. Ability to interview, screen and select qualified applicants to fill open positions. Ability to organize, maintain, and secure personnel records in an effective manner. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff.
