Project Manager, Capital Inspections

Job description

The Opportunity Reporting directly to the Manager, Engineering Capital, Design and Construction, this role is responsible for the construction management and project delivery of assigned capital projects for the Town of Caledon. You will perform daily inspections of construction sites, ensuring that the work is completed in accordance with approved engineering drawings, tender documents, and Town specifications. You will be responsible for coordinating with consultants, contractors, residents, and Town staff to ensure compliance with project agreements and specifications. As the Project Manager, Capital Inspections, you will perform the following duties, including but not limited to: - Coordinate, inspect, and report on construction projects to ensure compliance with applicable standards and drawings - Lead contract administration and inspection of capital infrastructure delivered by contractors, utilities, and partner municipalities - Conduct site inspections for roads, storm sewers, grading, sidewalks, lighting, and stormwater management facilities - Develop and issue RFPs, RFQs, RFTs, and RFIs, and lead construction progress meetings - Investigate and respond to inquiries from t...
