SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES: This position requires a polished and professional individual with excellent communication skills. The Referral Coordinator with Imaging Skills is responsible for coordinating and processing all patient referrals and imaging orders efficiently and accurately. This includes scheduling and notifying patients of appointments, providing instructions, entering orders into the EMR system, tracking reports, and collaborating closely with providers and staff to ensure timely, high-quality patient care. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: - Efficiently coordinate and follow up on referrals for specialties or diagnostics. - Enter, verify, and manage imaging orders in accordance with provider instructions and department protocols. - Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and internal teams, providing all necessary information. - Maintain appropriate logs of all referrals and imaging orders; track and record reports into the EMR system as received. - Work in cooperation with outside agencies to help patients access alternate resources when appropriate. - Attend meetings with physicians and staff as necessary; assist in educating clinic staff regarding referral and imagin...
