Job description
SUMMARY: The Journeyperson Plumber has a minimum 5 years’ experience and holds a valid Certificate of Qualification issued by the province in which the work is performed. The incumbent is responsible for operating facility systems, performing preventative and corrective maintenance, routine services on facility mechanical and electrical equipment and systems for the assigned facility within the limits of company policy and trade certification. The Journeyperson Plumber is also responsible for performing work in accordance with established processes and practices and for complying with internal and external requirements including but not limited to environmental, health and safety, security and fire protection. KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Installation & Troubleshooting: - Determines piping system requirements and pipe sizing. - Measures, cuts, threads and bends pipes to required shape and size. - Interprets blueprints, drawings and specifications to map layout of plumbing system, water supply network and waste and drainage systems in residential and commercial buildings. - Cuts opening in walls or floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings. - Installs, replaces and repairs valv...
