Mater Hospital Springfield is seeking applications for Casual Senior Medical Officers to join our new Emergency Department . Based at our Springfield campus, these roles will be part of a landmark moment in Queensland healthcare at Mater Hospital Springfield — opening May 2026. This brand-new facility will meet the needs of the growing Greater Springfield region. With a mix of public and private beds across ICU, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Emergency, Medical, Surgical and Paediatric services, it’s set to care for over 200,000 patients annually. The Emergency Department has 56 treatment spaces, including 5 resuscitation bays, 17 adult acute, 7 paediatric, 9 rapid assessment, 6 ambulatory care and 12 short stay beds. These are being opened in a staged process as the hospital develops.
