Department: 60985 Carolinas Medical Center - Core Lab: Specimen Management Status: Full time Benefits Eligible: Yes Hou rs Per Week: 40 Schedule Details/Additional Information: 2nd/3rd shift Monday - Friday 2100 - 0530; with rotating weekends and holidays Pay Range: $25.30 - $37.95 Essential Functions: - Provides training and support for staff on the automation and processing areas. - Develops, updates, and maintains standard operating procedures and quality control processes as needed. - Has a thorough knowledge of the automation with the ability to recognize and correct issues with minimal support. - Prepares reports to illustrate the performance of automation for specimen processing. This includes investigating error trends, new test code builds, test code updates, and tube labeling compliance. - Identifies and implements process improvement opportunities to improve the efficiency of automation for processing areas. - Acts as primary liaison with service technicians to limit impact and shorten downtime during automation servicing or repair. - Maintains cleanliness of equipment and work areas.
