Description Classification: Non-Exempt: Reports To: FSQA Manager: Summary/Objective: This position is responsible for both hands-on production operations and quality control activities, with your time divided between the two based on the current business needs. The ideal candidate will be able to successfully transition between various production functions to quality functions and then back again throughout a shift. Keeping in mind to stay in compliance to all federal and state regulations, 3rd party audits, product specifications, and specific customer requirements. Quality Control Essential Functions: - Conduct receiving inspections on incoming raw materials. - Collect and document product samples for testing or retention. - Verify that labels, lot codes, and packaging meet specifications. - Monitor and record Critical Control Points (CCPs) as defined in the HACCP plan. - Perform environmental monitoring and pre-operational inspections as assigned. - Using laboratory equipment to test products including thermometers, metal detectors, scales, water activity, and chemical titrations. - Place items on Hold and perform a corrective action investigation.
