Position Title: Infusion LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - Stephenson Cancer Center at Hillcrest - Tulsa Department: Hillcrest Infusion Center Job Description: Hours: 4 - 10 hour shifts General Summary: Under general supervision, provides preventative and health care to an assigned group of patients or clients in the OU Health facility. Essential Responsibilities: Responsibilities listed in this section are core to the position. Assists with the nursing assessment through data collection, observation, and obtainment of vital signs on assigned patients or clients. Provide s care according to an established nursing plan. Observe s changes in patient’s condition and notify supervisory personnel if significant changes occur. Provide s routine ostomy care, nasogastric tube placement and feeding and placement , and discontinuing of oral-gastric tube. Initiates and monitor s oxygen therapy according to physician orders or unit protocol . Suctions and clean s tracheotomy sites.
