Job Profile Summary This position supports the operations of the College's Accounting department. Under general supervision the purpose of the job is to perform standard accounting functions such as general ledger maintenance, reconciliation, and posting. Employees in this job classification are responsible for analyzing financial and operating data and preparing management reports and financial statements as necessary. Performs related work as directed. Position acts as a back-up to the Assistant Controller as necessary. Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree required in Accounting or related field. An equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered. Minimum Experience/Training: Six years of relevant experience. Essential Functions: Other - 60%: Reviews and analyzes bank statements to facilitate accurate and timely reconciliation of all college bank accounts such as the payroll, accounts payable international and master operating account. Responsible for researching, recording and correcting reconciling items.
