Job Description The Bureau of Alcohol and Drug Use (BADU) works to reduce morbidity and mortality related to alcohol and other drug use among New Yorkers. To accomplish this goal, BADU contracts and oversees treatment, harm reduction, recovery and support services; develops policy; conducts and disseminates surveillance and epidemiology and program evaluation; develops and disseminates treatment and management guidelines; develops and implements public health initiatives; engages in public and provider outreach and education; and promotes community interagency collaboration. Duties will include but not be limited to: 1. Triage and manage internal and external requests, including requests received from the offices of the Executive Deputy Commissioner and Commissioner of Health, and ensure timely completion 2. Conduct literature reviews and other policy and program research to inform bureau priorities at the direction of the AC 3. Track, analyze, and synthesize program data for program reports and presentations, as well as track and ensure timely completion of quantitative and qualitative bureau metrics and programmatic indicators for agency progress reporting and management 4.
