Position Summary The English department seeks a passionate and energetic teacher to fill a full-time, regular teaching position beginning August 2026. Candidates should be interested in being part of a collaborative group of teachers and working with highly motivated high school students in a diverse, mostly residential community. Successful applications will demonstrate candidates’ ability and willingness to be active participants in the Academy's academic, extracurricular, and residential programs. Academic Position Requirements: All members of our department teach reading, writing, and discussion skills to a diverse student body in grades 9-12. We welcome prospective colleagues who will creatively contribute to a writing curriculum that values the development of voice and skill and a literature curriculum that includes a range of authors, genres and historical periods. Enthusiasm for work with adolescents inside and outside the classroom is essential.
