They have advanced skills in counseling and skills that have proven them to be an expert in their specialty. Job Description: Board certification and licensure in the states of their primary locations are preferred. Develops and maintains a clinical practice alongside the physicians and providers in their imbedded practice. Gathers patient information such as historical records and family health conditions for medical assessment. Assesses recurrence risks and recommends medical or genetic testing based on analysis of the risk, benefit, and cost. Conducts case research of appropriate medical genetics literature.
