- Sydney or Melbourne Location - Hybrid Working & Awesome Team Culture - Seeking Snowflake Engineering SME How will I help?: In this hands-on and high-profile function, you'll be a Snowflake Platform Engineering SME and help build and run one of Westpac’s core enterprise data platforms—ensuring it is secure, scalable, reliable and cost‑effective . You’ll work at the heart of the Data Platforms Engineering team, partnering with data, governance, security and infrastructure teams to enable high‑quality data consumption at scale. This role is about real platform ownership: improving resilience, standardising environments, automating at scale, and supporting the modernisation of legacy platforms into Snowflake. What will I do?: - Engineer and operate Snowflake environments (DEV / TEST / PROD) using automation, AI‑first and Infrastructure‑as‑Code principles - Define and uplift platform standards for environment design, warehouse strategies, lifecycle management and metadata - Build strong observability, monitoring and operational rhythms across the platform - Enable modern Snowflake capabilities, including AI Cortex and Snowflake ML - Embed secure‑by‑default access models using RBAC, le...
