Description The Athletic Trainer is responsible for the development, coordination, evaluation, and delivering a system to provide health care to all students in the intercollegiate athletic program. The Athletic Trainer, in consultation with the college physician, will develop and implement protocols for the delivery of healthcare to sick and injured student-athletes. This includes maintaining certification and accurate records for all athletic staff in AED, CPR, First Aid, and Bloodborne Pathogen training. The Athletic Trainer will coordinate, in collaboration with the Director of Women’s Health and the college physician, pre-participation physical examinations and screenings in compliance with NCAA regulations, as well as spring physicals for returning student-athletes prior to the end of the academic year. The Athletic Trainer will also evaluate all student-athlete injuries and illnesses.
