We are currently offering a $1,500 sign-on bonus for Mechanic Technician new hires, payable after 90-days of employment. Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is hiring a Mechanic Technician in Richmond, Virginia for 1st or 2nd Shift. The Mechanic Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and performing complex repairs to both Caterpillar and allied equipment. Seeking candidates with previous experience with heavy construction equipment and work tool repair; Must have experience performing complex mechanical, electrical, and computer repairs; Two years’ experience as a Mechanic Technician, preferred; High school diploma or GED, required. Requirements for the Mechanic Technician position include: Physical requirements must be met for the Mechanic Technician job, including regularly being required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
