Role: Motor Vehicle Technician Department: Vehicle Fleet Management: Location: Churchill Way, Sheffield: Salary: £32,613 - £37,020 (plus a market rate supplement of 5%) Hours: 37: Contract Type: Permanent: In this role you will conduct vehicle service repairs & maintenance to meet the needs of the service. You will also be responsible for repair, maintenance and servicing of all police motor vehicles, motorcycles, pant, and auxiliary equipment owned, leased, or loaned by SYP. Key responsibilities: - Carry out to a high standard preventative maintenance and servicing on police vehicles, plant and equipment. - Diagnosis and repair of faults on police vehicles, plant or equipment using manufacturers in house electronic diagnosis equipment. - Where necessary attend incapacitated vehicles at the roadside or vehicle base and recover or repair same. - Carry out recovery of police vehicles without supervision as required by management. - Carry out uncertified M.O.T standard tests on police vehicles. - Work at any of the Police workshops on a short- or longer-term assignments, as indicated by Vehicle Fleet Management. - Attend training courses, both technical and personal development either...
