H2M architects + engineers, a multidiscipline architectural, engineering, environmental consulting firm seeks a Safety Manager for our Melville, NY office. This position will support ongoing electric utility projects. Plan, direct and implement project specific safety programs, as needed for electric transmission and distribution construction activity to promote a safe, healthy and incident and injury free (IIF) work environment. Foster a culture and a commitment to the IIF concept of personal & behavioral based safety for all engaged parties. Job Responsibilities: - Interpret health and safety regulations. - Conduct safety meetings as needed and warranted by program requirements. - Interacts with contractors to ensure a consistent understanding and enforcement of regulatory requirements.
