Dedicated Fleet Manager

Job description

This is a full-time position working onsite at multiple locations. Travel is required. This position is responsible for the direct management and supervision of a fleet of truck drivers to include compliance with DOT regulations, company policy, employee performance and retention, and efficient and effective movement of our customer's freight. This position is on-site with the customer requiring daily interaction and relationship management with the key customer contacts. Responsibilities: - Supervise and provide leadership to build and maintain a strong team through effective communications, recruiting, training, coaching, counseling, appraising and rewarding. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. - Manage driver performance and activities. Direct and schedule driver's work. Plan, assign, and distribute work to avoid hours of service violations while coordinating loads, equipment and backhauls to achieve maximum utilization of the fleet. - Manage work assignments.
