Job description

Title: Seasonal Carpenter Position Purpose: Executing all varieties of carpentry-related construction, maintenance, renovation, and repair projects on campus, using high quality carpentry skills. Job Duties: - Coordinate all carpenter work with other building trades. - Ability to read and interpret blueprints. - Communicate well with all customers and understand their needs. - Put together sketches of objects to be built in the carpenter shop and installed throughout the campus buildings. - Operate all carpenter related equipment. - Perform all carpentry related functions. - Complete work orders and PM (Preventive Maintenance) activities. Minimum Qualifications: Education - High school diploma or equivalent required. - Trade school diploma or other carpentry credentials desired. - Valid Maine driver's license. Experience: - 5 years of residential and/or commercial building experience. - Ability to work with wood, metal, or materials necessary for fabrication, repair, and renovation of all buildings. - Knowledge of tools, building supplies, and hardware associated with building trade. - Computer experience and ability to understand CAD drafting uses and blueprints. - Knowledge of ro...
