. SUMMARY DESCRIPTION: The Quality Engineer is an integral part of the Quality team within Silgan Plastics. This Quality Engineer will conduct several different types of analysis, testing and follow-up. Also, consistently ensuring that machines are set up correctly and reading measurements properly. EDUCATION: Required: Associates Preferred: Bachelors in a technical field EXPERIENCE: Required: 5 years in a Quality related field, strong SPC knowledge, manufacturing experience Preferred: 5 years as a Quality Engineer in a plastics manufacturing environment. SKILLS: Required: SPC, measuring equipment and devices, daily data analysis, extremely strong Microsoft Suite experience, including Excel. A strong working knowledge of SPC and Quality experience in a manufacturing facility is integral for the role. - Promote a safe working environment - Understands and adheres to all Silgan safety policies and procedures to prevent injury to self and co-workers - SPC implementation and system management.
