The Staff Physician provides direct patient care and emergency services in an effort to ensure that patient health care needs are met at all times. - TECHNICAL TASKS - Demonstrates a commitment to the philosophy and values of the organization to ensure that the highest quality of medical care is delivered at all times; accurately assesses health status of patients coming to or telephoning the practice for assistance and/or information - Is responsible for medical supervision and direction of all care rendered, and for development of treatment protocols, as and if necessary, for all patients seen in the practice; - Assists in the meeting of all accreditation and legal requirements and regulations of the hospital (JCAHO, City, State & Federal); - Works closely & collaboratively with the Physician Practice Management Director as well as other management and clinical staff to assure smooth and successful operation of the practice; - Has working knowledge of and is involved in issues related to licensing and credentialling bodies as well as issues relevant to reimbursement - Periodically assists in evaluating the competency and adequacy of all support staff members working within the of...
