Position Overview: - Department: Pharmacy - Schedule: Various days of the week, including some weekends and various hours. - Work Location: UAB St. Vincent's Birmingham - Benefits for eligible positions only include: generous paid time off, paid parental leave, Associate Assistance Program, Tuition Reimbursement Program, and more What You Will Do: Assure appropriate selection, dosing, administration and monitoring of medication orders under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. - Review, verify and enter physician orders into the patient medication profile. - Manage medication therapy protocols as a part of physician-pharmacist-nurse team. - Compound and dispense medications accurately for delivery to patient care areas. - Provide medication information and education to medical staff and patients. What You Will Need: Education: - Registered Pharmacist credentialed from the Alabama Board of Pharmacy obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. - Enrolled OR graduate of an accredited Pharmacy degree program Additional Preferences: No additional preferences.
