Position Summary Assist the pharmacist by filling physician orders for medications, mixes IV admixture solutions as required using aseptic technique in the Laminar Air Flow Hood, prepares and files charge slips and performs other related duties. Patient Care: Assists the pharmacist in providing medication, drug information and pharmaceutical services to patients, nurses, physicians and other hospital personnel. Fills medication orders from labels in a timely an accurate manner. Fills medication carts, drug replacement boxes and automated dispensing unit. Delivers medications to patient care areas and picks up items going to the Pharmacy. Completes area inspections as assigned in the time frame assigned. Corrects noted deficiencies found during inspections. Processes and prepares sterile drug orders with proper order and care, using aseptic technique. Prepackages drugs as demand required. Properly and completely prepares paperwork for prepackaging records.Completely and accurately inputs medication charges and credits daily. Maintains patient medication drawer accuracy by periodically pulling updates off the computer, adding and deleting from the boxes. Pulls discharges off computer...
