The Role Transport Team Managers at NEXT work closely with the Transport Assistant Site Manager in the fast-paced and time critical transport operation to ensure it runs smoothly, accurately and cost effectively. The Bristol Regional Service Centre plays a pivotal role ensuring that stores in the South West & Wales are stocked and our online customers receive the service they expect from the brand. Working a 4 on, 4 off rotation on the busy night shift between 18:00-06:00, It’s fast paced, varied and challenging and we’re looking for a talented and dynamic first line transport manager to join our team. What you’ll take on: It’s your job to ensure that the team on shift are well organised, trained and motivated to deliver the operational efficiency targets and that all processes are fully H&S compliant. You’ll be responsible for;: - Managing, training and coaching a team of Drivers (LGV and Van) - Managing Driver hours and controlling tachograph infringements - Ensuring full adherence to statutory road transport legislation, O-licence requirements and Company policies and procedures - Daily and weekly plans to achieve targets and monitor performance - Monitor and investigate acciden...
