Description The University Supervisor is a liaison between the student teaching placement school and the university. The University Supervisor works closely with the cooperating teacher and the principal to ensure a positive student teaching experience for our student teachers. To ensure the highest quality experience, in addition to holding a current Illinois State Board of Education Professional Educator License and endorsements in the program area in which they are providing supervision, the University Supervisor must: A complete list of expectations/guidelines is located in the Field Experiences Handbook Excerpt. Number of visits and observation feedback The University Supervisor will observe the student teacher teach a minimum of four times during the Student Teaching Quarter. The University Supervisor should conduct a telephone or on-site conference with the student teacher and cooperating teacher after each visit. A written report of the observations is also required after each observation.
