Department: OPH - Bureau of Infection Disease Job Summary: Job Description: - Assists with surveillance activities to detect cases and identify trends for the Bureau of Infectious Disease (BID). - Supports Regional Epidemiologist on all epidemiologic activities conducted in assigned region. - Completes disease case reports in assigned regions. - Monitors parish health units and hospitals conducting surveillance activities via electronic reporting within assigned regions. - Analyzes and interprets infectious disease surveillance data for trends and clusters. - Conducts data entry in current surveillance systems, including REDCap, the statewide Infectious Disease Reporting Information System (IDRIS), and any other databases used. - Coordinates with physicians and health care providers to...
