Job description
Under supervision, and in collaboration with physician colleagues, assists with diagnosing and treating patients in the division of Cardiovascular Medicine that are undergoing Chemotherapy treatments. Perform professional duties and technical procedures of the particular area of specialty to provide health care services. Makes initial diagnosis and order appropriate tests and treatment. Assists attending physicians where applicable; assists with facilitating and coordinating communication between the health care team, patient and patient’s family. Coordinates care to ensure quality, effective care and patient safety. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: - Master of Science degree in Nursing, Registered Nurse license and certified as a Nurse Practitioner or Graduation from a Physician Assistant Training Program approved by the Board of Physician Quality Assurance is required - Registered and currently recorded with the Maryland Board of Examiners of Nurses and certified as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of Maryland or National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) is required - DEA and CDS eligible - CPR required - BLS required - ACLS and/or other relevant certifica...
