Job Description: - Collect patient information/history, taking vitals and performing screenings per provider guidelines. - Use sterile technique to prepare procedure rooms and surgical trays. - Comply with all company policies and procedures in adherence to HIPAA regulations. - Obtain a pertinent patient history and physical, communicating the information back to the dermatologic surgeon. Describe removal of the lesion, repair options, and postoperative wound care. - Assist with documentation in EMR. - Record, manage, and update malignant and non-malignant pathology results in log. - Drape and prepare surgical site while maintaining sterile field, numb surgical site by injecting local anesthesia, achieve hemostasis using handheld cautery device, bandage patients appropriately based on surgical site. - Assist physician during all p...
