Job description
When you join the growing BILH team, you're not just taking a job, you’re making a difference in people’s lives. This is a 28-bed acute, medical unit. We take care of patients primarily admitted for general medical issues. The majority of our patients are admitted from the Emergency Department, the Intensive Care Unit, or from procedural areas. Our patients are admitted to the Hospitalist Service which is an attending covered service. The nurses work encompasses management of intravenous medications as well as oral medications, wound dressings, cardiac telemetry monitoring, management of central lines, parental nutrition, and at times tracheostomy care. The BIDMC Nursing Mission is to build on a legacy of nursing excellence by caring with compassion, advancing the art & science of nursing, and advocating for the health of patients, families, and communities. The Clinical Nurse I utilizes the nursing process as the frame of reference for practice as a professional registered nurse and provides direct patient care to patients and families.
