Description The Department of Biology and Environmental Science at the University of New Haven invites applications for a tenure-track position beginning August 2024. The Department seeks to hire a teacher-scholar with a broad background in the interdisciplinary field of Marine Social Science. We are open to a range of expertise but have particular interest in candidates specializing in: Fisheries and/or Aquaculture Policy, Marine Resource Sustainability, Marine Education and Outreach, Coastal Community Resilience, or Marine Conservation. We seek an innovative teacher and researcher who will coordinate our relatively new M.A. Marine Policy & Management program. In addition to teaching existing courses in the master’s program and our BS Marine & Environmental Sciences degree, there is opportunity to develop new courses in the candidate’s area of expertise. We also expect the successful candidate to mentor student research at the undergraduate and graduate level.
