Job description

JELD-WEN is currently seeking a General Production to join our growing team. SUMMARY OF GOALS AND OBJECTIVES OF THE POSITION: - Performs custodial duties in offices, warehouses, manufacturing areas, and other interior and exterior building spaces across all JELD-WEN plants and facilities. - Completes select production activities and operates machinery associated with JELD-WEN product lines. - Holds greater knowledge and responsibility than General Production I and II positions. - May provide guidance to General Production I and II employees. - Works closely with management and skilled trade positions to perform more complex duties. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - Demonstrates advanced knowledge of organizational goals, objectives, policies, and procedures. - Collaborates with all levels of the organization to coordinate work requiring skilled trade workers (Maintenance positions). - Contacts and schedules vendors or contractors for building repairs and emergencies that cannot be handled internally. - Communicates repair needs to supervisory staff and logs them as required. - Uses appropriate cleaning equipment and performs routine maintenance on buildin...
