Job description

Performs clerical and other tasks relating to the processing and generation of laboratory results within and outside of the hospital. - Performs clerical and other tasks relating to the processing and generation of laboratory results within and outside of the hospital - Specimen handling, receiving, labeling, spinning, pouring, and dispensing to technologist - Enters demographics into instruments and computer for accessioning purposes - Transports specimens and/or requisitions and reports within the site and between sites - Prepares specimens for sending out to private labs - Collects and sorts all reports for delivery intra site and site to site - Maintains written logs (temperature charts, STAT delivery logs, centrifuge cleaning, and downtime logs) - Performs maintenance of all lab information systems and CPA laboratory equipment - Maintains files (daily filing, rotation of files, and transport of files) - Collects and sorts all reports in preparation for pick-up by messengers - Generates blood collection - Routinely works rotating weekends - Maintains continued compliance with policies, procedures, and record keeping necessary to meet the standards of accrediting agencies - Cove...
